For Week 21, Grandma Rose didn’t give me much to go on. She seemed to have an exhaustive week gardening and prepping for even more planting. There isn’t much mention of anything else like her normal meals or visits with family. Even her entries are shortened as if she’s just too exhausted at the end of the day to write much at all.
Much like Grandma Rose, we’ve been busy gardening all weekend too. In lieu of a “grandma photo,” enjoy one of the fruits of my own garden labors, my freshly opened peony this morning. I think she’d have approved! It’s just gorgeous. I could, however, use her advice to rein in my out-of-control climbing rose that has gone positively feral. Maybe in the next weeks, I’ll see mention of roses but that seems to be more of my Grandma Clara Lou’s specialty.
NOTE: As always, I left her spelling, capitalization, and punctuation as much as possible.
